Cookie policy
This site uses no marketing cookies and shows no consent banner, because it does not need one. We measure traffic with our own analytics software on our own server: it stores nothing on your device by itself, uses no cookies, and the data is never passed to anyone else. It stores only functional preferences in your browser, plus the analytics opt-out flag described below if you choose to set it, and the bot-protection service may use its own technical files when you submit the contact form. Theme and language preferences, the analytics opt-out flag, and the bot-protection files are strictly necessary for the service you requested and are therefore exempt from consent under Section 109(8) of Act No. 452/2021 Coll.; that is why we show no consent banner. The full overview is below.
What the site stores
Preferences are stored with localStorage, a cookie-like browser technology: the data stays in your browser only, is never sent anywhere, and we have no access to it.
| Key | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| vyxos-theme | Remembering your light or dark theme choice. | Until you delete it |
| vyxos-lang | Remembering your language choice. | Until you delete it |
| umami.disabled | Analytics opt-out flag. It is created only if you click the button in Measuring visits below. | Until you delete it |
Measuring visits
We measure traffic with Umami, open-source analytics software we run on our own server in the European Union. It uses no cookies and never writes to your device by itself. Its only access to browser storage is to read a single opt-out flag, which you can set or remove yourself with the control below (it is listed in the table above). It builds no profile that follows you across sites and collects no directly identifying data. For each visit it records the page visited, the referring page, your approximate location (country, region, and city), device type, operating system, browser, browser language, screen resolution, and the page title. As separate events we also record clicks on navigation and action buttons (such as contact, projects, or services) and successful submission of the contact form. Your IP address is never stored; it is used to resolve your approximate location and, at the same time, as an input to a temporary visit identifier. That identifier is derived from your IP address and browser characteristics, contains nothing directly identifying, is not stored on your device, and changes at least once a month, so it cannot follow you indefinitely. The data is kept for 12 months and then deleted automatically.
Analytics opt-out
You can object to this measurement at any time (GDPR Article 21). The button below sets a single flag in your browser that tells the measurement to skip you on every future visit.
Third-party services
The contact form is protected against bots by Cloudflare Turnstile. When it loads, Cloudflare may store technical cookies or similar data strictly necessary to verify that a human is submitting the form. This is essential site functionality; see the Cloudflare Privacy Policy for details.
Managing stored data in your browser
You can delete stored preferences and any cookies at any time in your browser settings (usually under Privacy or Site data). The site keeps working after deletion; you will simply pick your theme or language again.
